We are building the next neuroscience technology

and medical research center.

NeuralVillage is making significant strides in enhancing access to high-quality healthcare and neurotechnology in Nigeria. Powered by an advanced Artificial Intelligence platform and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) devices, we are unlocking new potentials for the early detection and treatment of neurological conditions, specifically Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, and brain injuries.

Our mission is to advance healthcare technology and neuroscience education to deliver impactful clinical solutions that foster healthy urbanization.

NeuralVillage was founded in 2022 to address Nigeria's healthcare and education gap, specifically focusing on neuroscience-related issues that affect over 50 million individuals in the population suffering from various neurological conditions. It is through our collaborative efforts that Nigeria's neuromedicine emerges and shines brightly in the global healthcare and technology sector, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. Our research and development initiatives are creating innovative solutions to pressing medical challenges, enhancing the quality of life for individuals with neurological issues. We utilize extensive community-derived data and neural network modeling to understand the drivers of neurodegenerative diseases, translating these insights into actionable healthcare policy recommendations.

NEURALVILLAGE SOCIAL IMPACT

1.

Nigerian Brain Health Data Initiative

In 2023, the NeuralVillage Team conceptualized the Nigerian Brain Health Data Initiative (NBHDI) with the goal of recording 5 million brain health datasets from a diverse population of individuals in Nigeria by 2030, to advance the understanding of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). Subsequent to our official visit to the Borno State Ministry of Health 2024, Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS) 2024 to explore avenues for collaboration on harnessing neurological data.  In 2025, we began a strategic "Call to Action" seeking to address the urgent need for a robust Brain Health Data in Nigeria.  The NBHDI aims to establish a collaborative framework for collecting, analyzing, and leveraging neurological data across Nigeria. By leading this initiative, NeuralVillage seeks to position Nigeria at the forefront of neuro-innovation on the continent, fostering a data-driven approach to improving brain health outcomes and unlocking new opportunities in the neurotech sector.

2.

David Bedford Brain Science Academy

The graph above presents the findings of a research survey conducted by NeuralVillage in 2023, which indicates that 91.9% of BSc certificate holders are unfamiliar with neuroscience. However, these individuals have developed a strong interest in learning more about the field as they intend to pursue further education. Additionally, the 8.1% who are familiar have also expressed a desire to acquire more knowledge about the discipline.  Recognizing the critical need for better neuroscience education in Nigeria, we are proud to establish the David Bedford Brain Science Academy, a primary and secondary school with a core focus on neuroscience. This educational academy honors the memory of the late David Bedford, an inspiring Australian who, despite facing quadriplegia for over 20 years following a car accident, bravely lived his life. David, a chef who also served on NeuralVillage's advisory board, made significant contributions by sharing his invaluable understanding of patients with critical neurological conditions. Furthermore, he supported the Dr. Ladi Kwali Foundation Scholarship for primary and secondary school students in Kwali, hoping to inspire their pursuit of neuro-related careers.

3.

NeuralVillage Volunteering Committee

The volunteering committee is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference in the neuroscience and neurotechnology field. In 2023, we partner with WeMakeChange, onboarded over 43 volunteers from 15 countries. We truly appreciate the time and support of our volunteers with NeuralVillage Social Impact Certificate, Neuroscience gifts, and tokens. This is depending on the time and efforts you put. There are Six (6) Volunteering Committee, and you can join more than one Volunteering committee interest. We may allow a maximum of Seven (7) Committee Members.  Web Development Committee, Research and Development Committee, Project Management Committee, Business Development Committee, Legal Committee, Writing Committee.
